In a poor economy many are seeking healthy cost-effective options. If residents can possess chicken (hens only) and house them efficiently so not to be a visual nusence the ability to possess chickens should be an option. Owning chickens for the purpose of eggs and meat gathering would be beneficial and not offensive to those in the community. I would also recommend a 1 year trial basis to get reactions from the community at which point this can be re-evaluated if necessary.

The City has budgeted funding in the FY 13/14 Budget to assist with removing abandoned and dilapidated houses through out the community. Do you think this is something the City should help with?

Whenever I come home to visit my parents, I see more and more homes with trash stacked on their front porch, or in their front yard. Piles of it, for weeks on end. My parents have said they have gotten tired of calling the city to complain, because nothing gets done. Be nice if the city employees and residents took more pride in the look and feel of their city. I love coming home to visit, but driving around town now can be quite depressing.
